Chanchal Rana (IAS) officially took office on Friday as the 27th Vice Chairman of the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA).
On his first day, he held a meeting with senior BDA officials to discuss key developmental priorities and create a roadmap for the city’s future growth.
During the meeting, Rana stressed the importance of collective efforts to transform Bhubaneswar into a modern, smart, and clean city. He reviewed ongoing urban development schemes and urged officials to identify areas requiring special attention in the coming days to enhance the city’s development.
Officials present at the meeting, including BDA Secretary Manas Ranjan Padhi and other senior officers, expressed their commitment to aligning with the state government’s policies and vision. The discussions also covered upcoming action plans and strategies to strengthen infrastructure and improve urban governance.
Rana’s extensive administrative experience and forward-thinking vision are expected to bring new energy to Bhubaneswar’s developmental initiatives. Additionally, he has been designated as the Commissioner of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) and Managing Director of Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited.
