A driver was tragically burnt alive after his car caught fire on the Chandikhole-Paradip State Highway 53 in Paradip, Jagatsinghpur district, last night.

The Honda i20, bearing registration number OD05-AJ-8592, suddenly erupted in flames near Pitambarpur village in Biswali around 10:45 PM. Despite local witnesses trying to help, the driver was trapped inside and unable to escape, ultimately leading to his fatal demise. The Paradip Lock Police and Kujanga Fire service department were promptly alerted and rushed to the scene, but the vehicle was completely gutted by the time they arrived.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire, and the identity of the deceased driver remains unknown. The car’s registration number suggests it was from Cuttack.

An investigation into this tragic event is ongoing, and officials are working diligently to uncover the circumstances leading to this devastating accident.
