BTS leader Kim Namjoon (RM) marked his 31st birthday in style — unveiling blonde hair, celebrating with ARMY, and making a generous ₩200 million (₹1.2 crore) donation to support medical treatment for underprivileged patients in South Korea.
RM shared a mirror selfie on Instagram Stories, revealing his new blonde look and thanking fans with the caption:
“Thank you. I miss you all.”
He kicked off the celebrations with a special dinner at Mosu Seoul, followed by a purple birthday cake. RM also re-shared fan tributes and messages that poured in from across the globe.
Continuing his tradition of philanthropy, RM donated ₩100M each to Seoul Asan Medical Centre and Korea University Medical Centre. According to hospital officials, the funds will be used to subsidize surgery and treatment costs for economically disadvantaged patients and to improve healthcare facilities.
RM said in a statement:
“I decided to donate in the hopes that it would provide a small but warm hope to patients. It’s meaningful to participate, even if only a little, in spreading the value of medical advancement and respect for life.”
Last year, RM contributed ₩100M to the Everyone’s Veterans Dream initiative, which supports bereaved families of uniformed service members as part of the Uniform Worker Appreciation Campaign.
