Seoul: Almost six years after its initial release, BTS’s “Love Yourself: Tear” topped more than one Billboard chart this week!
Following its recent release on vinyl, BTS’s 2018 studio album “Love Yourself: Tear” re-entered Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart (which ranks the most popular albums in the United States) at No. 92, returning to the Billboard 200 for the first time in over five years.
“Love Yourself: Tear” also debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Vinyl Albums chart this week, making BTS the first Asian artist ever to top the chart with more than one album. (BTS’s first vinyl release, “Love Yourself: Her,” also entered the chart at No. 1 last year.)
Meanwhile, BTS’s title track from the album—“Fake Love”—re-entered Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart at No. 1, marking the song’s 71st overall week on the chart.
Back when it was first released in 2018, “Love Yourself: Tear” made history by becoming the first K-pop album ever to top the Billboard 200.
