Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has suspended Trisha Hospital’s empanelment under the state’s flagship health scheme, Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY).
The stern action has been taken as investigations are underway against the private hospital by the Health & Family Welfare Department and also the Fire Department in connection with the recent fire mishap.
Also, because of the fire accident in the two nursing homes, Trisha Hospital and Radha Raman Hospital in Cuttack’s Purighat Talatelenga Bazar area, the Director of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Odisha, has formed a three-member committee to conduct an inquiry and submit the report for further action.
The panel of doctors— Prof. (Dr.) Braja Kishore Dash, Addl DMET, Prof. (Dr.) Anil Kumar Sahoo, Dept. of Orthopedics, SJ MCH, Puri, and Prof. (Dr.) Roma Rattan, Joint DMET— will conduct an inquiry of the said hospitals as per the Odisha Clinical Establishment (Control & Regulation) Act 1990 and submit the report.
