A bomb attack in Kampara village, Bhadrak district of Odisha, has left seven people critically injured in what appears to be an incident fueled by political rivalry.
According to reports, the attack occurred late Wednesday night when two unidentified individuals on a motorcycle hurled bombs at a group of people seated along the roadside before quickly escaping.
Among the injured are women who were immediately rushed to Tihidi Hospital, with three later transferred to Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital due to the severity of their injuries.
With tensions high in the village, local police have launched an investigation into the attack while deploying additional forces to maintain security.
Authorities suspect political disputes to be the root cause of the violence, sparking fear and unrest among residents.
