Folk singer Maithili Thakur will contest from the Alinagar seat, marking her political debut. She joined the BJP earlier this week and expressed her commitment to serve the people through the party platform. Former IPS officer Anand Mishra has been fielded from the Buxar seat, adding administrative experience to the party’s candidate pool.

BJP leaders announced the list as part of their ongoing strategy to blend fresh faces with experienced professionals. The inclusion of Maithili Thakur and Anand Mishra reflects the party’s outreach to diverse voter bases.

Both candidates bring unique backgrounds—Thakur with her cultural influence and Mishra with his law enforcement credentials. Their nominations have sparked interest across Bihar’s political landscape as the election momentum builds.

The BJP aims to strengthen its position in the state by introducing candidates who resonate with local communities and represent a mix of youth, talent, and public service.
