The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has strongly refuted allegations made by the lawyer of BJD leader Raja Chakra, who claimed that Rs 1.32 crore was transferred to the BJP’s state account in Odisha.
Raja Chakra, arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for his alleged involvement in a Rs 150 crore financial scam, has become the center of a political storm.
BJP state president Manmohan Samal dismissed the claims as a conspiracy to tarnish the party’s image, emphasizing the lack of evidence to support the allegations. “My life is an open book, and so is that of BJP and its leaders. These are irresponsible statements without any evidence,” Samal stated.
Congress MLA Taraprasad Bahinipati has joined the fray, demanding a CBI probe into the matter and threatening protests if the demand is not met. The case has sparked calls for transparency and accountability, with political parties clashing over the allegations.
The investigation continues, with Raja Chakra’s lawyer submitting documents to the court highlighting financial transactions linked to the BJP. The political landscape in Odisha remains tense as the case unfolds.
