Bhubaneswar: In a significant move reflecting the ongoing internal strife within the Biju Janata Dal (BJD), show-cause notices have been issued to four prominent leaders: Amaresh Jena, Biranchi Mahasupakar, Bikek Swain, and Rajesh Patra. The notices, issued by the party’s district president Sushant Rout, demand explanations within 15 days as to why disciplinary actions should not be taken against them.
Sushant Rout emphasized the need for maintaining discipline and solidarity within the party ranks. “The BJD has always stood for unity and discipline. Any actions that threaten these core values will be addressed promptly and firmly,” Rout stated.
This development follows a series of internal conflicts and public disagreements among BJD members, which have raised questions about the party’s internal cohesion. The notices are seen as an attempt to curb dissent and reinforce party discipline ahead of upcoming political challenges.
The four leaders are expected to respond to the notices within the stipulated time frame, failing which the party may proceed with disciplinary measures. The outcome of this internal inquiry will be closely watched as it could have significant implications for the party’s future dynamics.
For now, the BJD leadership remains committed to resolving internal issues and presenting a united front to the public.
