The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has strongly urged immediate justice for the victim in the Pipili minor gang rape case.
A delegation led by former Minister Tukuni Sahu met with the Superintendent of Police (SP) in Puri district, demanding stringent action against the perpetrators.
The BJD team first visited the victim’s family, offering their support and gathering crucial details regarding the case. The party assured the family of their unwavering commitment to ensuring justice is served.
Later, the delegation submitted a memorandum to the Puri SP, pressing for urgent action. The memorandum highlighted concerns over the alleged involvement of a street vendor in the case.
To prevent future incidents, BJD has proposed a registration system for street vendors and increased police patrolling in high-risk areas.
With growing public outcry over the case, the party reaffirmed its stance on protecting victims and ensuring a safer environment in Odisha.
