The ambitious Rs 398-crore redevelopment of Bhubaneswar Railway Station under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme is on track for completion by November 2025, with nearly 80% of work already finished, Minister of State for Railways V. Somanna announced during a recent site inspection.

108-metre Air Concourse:
A central highlight of the revamped station is a state-of-the-art air concourse connecting all six platforms, replacing traditional foot overbridges and ensuring seamless movement across the station. -
Modern Infrastructure:
The eastern block facing Cuttack Road has a completed three-storey building, while construction on the eleven-storey western wing near Master Canteen Square has reached the fourth floor. Final interior work is underway. -
Smart Passenger Amenities:
The new station will feature:-
34 lifts and 20 escalators

Elevated Roadway System:
Inspired by airport designs, a new elevated flyover will enable entry at the upper level and exit at the lower level, streamlining traffic and reducing congestion near Master Canteen Square. The Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) has begun foundational work for the corridor. -

Built to handle up to 1 lakh passengers daily (up from 77,000), the station will include:-
