Following the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, security has been tightened at railway stations across India, including Bhubaneswar Railway Station.
Authorities have ramped up surveillance and security checks to ensure the safety of passengers and staff.
On Monday, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) conducted intensive security operations at Bhubaneswar station, inspecting luggage, screening passengers, and monitoring movements with advanced surveillance systems. Additional personnel have been deployed at key locations such as entry and exit points, platforms, and parking areas.
“We urge passengers to immediately report any suspicious persons or unattended baggage,” a senior RPF official said.
Passengers are being thoroughly screened, and those appearing suspicious are being questioned on the spot. Authorities have advised travelers to cooperate with security checks and to arrive early at the station to accommodate the additional screening time.
Officials emphasized that every precaution is being taken to prevent potential threats. “We are leaving no stone unturned. Security operations are being carried out with full intensity,” added an RPF representative.
Despite the heightened security, train services are running smoothly without any major disruptions. Most passengers have supported the measures, acknowledging their importance for public safety.
