Bengaluru South Member of Parliament (MP) and Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) national president, Tejasvi Surya, tied the knot with renowned Carnatic vocalist and Bharatanatyam dancer, Sivasri Skandaprasad, on March 6, 2025, in Bengaluru.
The traditional ceremony, held at Palace Grounds, was attended by close family members and select political associates.
The couple honored their cultural roots by blending Kannada and Tamil rituals.
Sivasri Skandaprasad, a bioengineering graduate with a master’s degree from Chennai Sanskrit College, has gained national recognition for her contributions to classical arts. She is also the founder of ‘Ahuti,’ an initiative promoting Indian classical music and dance.
The couple’s shared interest in music and culture is believed to have deepened their bond, leading to this union.
Several political leaders extended their best wishes to the newlyweds. Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal and Karnataka BJP President Nalin Kumar Kateel were among those who congratulated the couple, wishing them a happy married life.
The wedding was followed by a grand reception at Gayatri Vihar Grounds in Bengaluru, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the lives of Tejasvi Surya and Sivasri Skandaprasad.
