Bhubaneswar: Schools in Odisha have switched to morning classes from Saturday in view of the steep rise in the maximum (day) temperature in the past couple of days.
As per the notification issued by the School and Mass Education Department, the students from standard 1 to 8 will have to attend their classes from 6:30 am to 10:30 am. Similarly, classes for standard 9 to 12 will be conducted from 7 am to 11:30 am. The revised school timings came into effect from today.
It is pertinent to mention here that the physical classes for students from Classes 8 to 12, colleges, universities and other technical institutions had reopened in Odisha from February 7. However, the classes for students from KG to Class 7 were reopened from February 14, 2022.
