The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has scheduled a Special General Meeting (SGM) on March 1, 2025, in Mumbai.
The purpose of the meeting is to appoint a new joint secretary, as the position became vacant after Devjit Saikia was elevated to the post of the board’s secretary.
Saikia succeeded Jay Shah, who took over as the chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC). The SGM notice was sent to the state associations with a single-item agenda, ensuring compliance with the 21-day notice requirement.
The potential candidates for the joint secretary position include Avishek Dalmiya from the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), Rohan Jaitley from the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA), and Sanjay Naik from the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA).
