The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will hold its 95th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on September 28, 2025, in Mumbai.
The meeting is expected to address key organizational changes, including the formation of a new committee, the IPL Governing Council, and the Women’s Premier League (WPL) panel.
With current president Roger Binny stepping down after turning 70, the top agenda item is the election of a new president. While other office-bearers like secretary Devajit Saikia, treasurer Baltej Singh Bhatia, and joint secretary Rohan Gauns Dessai are likely to continue, the presidential seat remains open.
Sources suggest that the Board has informally approached former India cricketers from the West Zone as potential candidates. However, there’s also speculation that incumbent vice-president Rajiv Shukla could be promoted to the top post.
The AGM coincides with the Asia Cup final, raising questions about whether BCCI officials will attend the continental event if India qualifies.
The meeting will follow Lodha Committee guidelines, which restrict office-bearers to under 70 years of age, as the National Sports Act has not yet been formally implemented.
