Indian shooting prodigy Manu Bhaker added another feather to her cap by winning the bronze medal in the 10m air pistol women’s event at the Asian Shooting Championships 2025 held in Shymkent, Kazakhstan.
Bhaker scored 219.7 points in the final, finishing behind South Korea’s Jiin Yang (241.6) and China’s Qianke Ma (243.2).
In the junior category, Rashmika Sahgal emerged as a standout performer, clinching gold with a score of 241.9. Her victory was complemented by a team gold alongside Vanshika Chaudhary and Mohini Singh, with India scoring 1720 points—outpacing South Korea (1698) and Kazakhstan (1662).
India also secured bronze in the senior team event, with Bhaker, Suruchi Singh, and Palak Gulia scoring 1730 points, narrowly missing silver to Korea (1731) and gold to China (1740).
Bhaker had earlier qualified for the final with a strong tally of 583, placing second in the preliminary round. However, teammates Suruchi and Palak did not advance to the final.
