The wait is finally over. Netflix has unveiled the trailer for The Ba**ds of Bollywood*, Aryan Khan’s hotly anticipated directorial debut, and it’s nothing short of a wild, self-aware celebration of the industry it portrays.
Produced by Red Chillies Entertainments Pvt. Ltd. and created by Aryan Khan, the seven-episode series promises a no-holds-barred ride into the glittering, chaotic, and often cutthroat world of Hindi cinema.

At its core, the series follows Aasmaan Singh (Lakshya), a passionate outsider with dreams as towering as the silver screen. With his steadfast friend Parvaiz (Raghav Juyal), sharp-witted manager Sanya (Anya Singh), and supportive family — including uncle Avtar (Manoj Pahwa), mother Neeta Singh (Mona Singh), and father Rajat Singh (Vijayant Kohli) — Aasmaan dares to chase stardom.
But fame comes with a price. Aasmaan must face off against reigning superstar Ajay Talvar (Bobby Deol) when he’s cast opposite Talvar’s daughter, Karishma (Sahher Bambba). Along the way, he encounters the shrewd producer Freddy Sodawallah (Manish Chaudhari) and Jaraj Saxena (Rajat Bedi), a former actor hungry for a comeback. The result is a witty, no-filter look at ambition, ego, and the price of chasing the Bollywood dream.
Fans have even more to be excited about with the promise of cameo appearances by Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan, SS Rajamouli, Badshah, Disha Patani — and, in what may be the series’ most-talked-about moment, all three Khans appearing together for the first time.
Music is central to the series’ energy, with an album composed by Shashwat Sachdev and guest contributions from Anirudh Ravichander and Ujwal Gupta. The youth anthem “Badli Si Hawa Hai,” sung by Arijit Singh and Amira Gill, is already trending, while the romantic ballad “Tu Pehli Tu Aakhri” has heightened anticipation for the show’s September 18 premiere.
“Aryan Khan’s debut is shaping up to be a love letter — and a playful roast — of the Hindi film industry,” said insiders familiar with the project. “It’s filmy, fiery, and fearless.”
The Ba**ds of Bollywood* streams exclusively on Netflix from September 18, promising viewers a rollercoaster of drama, laughter, and a brutally honest peek behind Bollywood’s glimmering façade.
