In a vibrant celebration of India’s artistic heritage, the Artists in Residence programme – Kala Utsav is showcasing traditional art forms in their original glory at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Today, a distinguished group of Madhubani artists from Bihar and Gond artists from Madhya Pradesh met the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, to share their creative journeys and artworks.
Since May 20, these talented artists have been residing at Rashtrapati Bhavan, creating breathtaking paintings that embody the essence of India’s folk and tribal traditions. The President personally witnessed their masterpieces and commended their dedication to preserving and promoting India’s cultural legacy.
The Artists in Residence programme serves as a vital platform for generational artists who have sustained their craft amidst modern influences. The President encouraged them to continue their artistic endeavours and assured support in their mission to safeguard India’s traditional art forms.
