Arms Licences Of Wrestler Sushil Kumar Suspended

New Delhi: The firearms licence of two-time Olympic medallist and world champion wrestler Sushil Kumar, who was arrested in connection with the alleged murder of 23-year-old wrestler Sagar Dhankad has been suspended by the Delhi Police. The firearm for which a licence was issued to Kumar in 2012 has already been seized by the crime branch team that is investigating Dhankad’s murder case. The licencing department of the city police has initiated the process for cancellation of his licence as well, the officers said. Kumar was arrested by Delhi Police Special Cell sleuths from Delhi on May 24 along with his aide Ajay after staying on the run for 18 days. On Sunday, Crime Branch sleuths took Sushil Kumar to Uttarakhand's Haridwar to probe where he took shelter during his run. The police team also tried to find Kunar's clothes and mobile phone in Haridwar.
