Union Home Minister Amit Shah will arrive in Odisha tomorrow for his rescheduled two-day official visit.
Authorities confirm Amit Shah will land at Bhubaneswar airport around 8 pm on March 6 aboard a special Indian Air Force aircraft from Delhi. He will stay overnight in the capital city. Security teams implement strict measures across Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.
On the morning of March 7, Amit Shah will participate in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Raising Day ceremony at Mundali in Cuttack. He will attend the foundation day event and address personnel. The programme will highlight the force’s contributions to national security.
Later, Amit Shah will virtually inaugurate the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) Transit Campus in Bhubaneswar. He will lay foundation stones for projects related to the Cooperation Department and other initiatives in Jatani.
He will inaugurate the Naveen Nyaya Samhita Exhibition at the IDCO Exhibition Ground. Officials divert vehicles at major squares like Airport Square, Jaydev Vihar, and Nalco Square to ensure smooth movement and public safety.
A high-level meeting at the DGP camp office reviewed security, intelligence, and coastal vigilance ahead of the Amit Shah Odisha visit. Police coordinate extensively for the events.
Initially, Amit Shah was scheduled to arrive on Thursday, but due to other commitments, his visit has been rescheduled to Friday.
