The sacred city of Puri witnessed a divine signal today as the Agyan Mala reached the chariots, marking Lord Jagannath’s celestial approval for the commencement of the world-famous Rath Yatra.
The Agyan Mala, symbolic of Lord Jagannath’s command, was ceremoniously placed upon the chariots, an essential ritual that clears the path for the chariot festival to begin. As tradition dictates, following this ritual, the three majestic chariots will be aligned in front of the Singhadwara (Lion’s Gate) of Srimandir.
The arrival of the Agyan Mala is not merely a spiritual moment but a cultural milestone that draws lakhs of devotees to Puri every year. With the Agyan Mala adorning the Rath, the city now gears up for the spectacular procession, bringing together faith, tradition, and festivity in a grand confluence.
The divine moment was met with chants of “Jai Jagannath” as anticipation builds across Odisha and beyond for one of the largest religious gatherings in the world.
