Phulbani: Three persons were killed while around 30 others were injured when the van in which they were travelling rammed into a tree after skidding off the road in the Kutibali area under Kotagarh police limits in Phulbani on Friday.

The incident took place this morning when the vehicle was heading from Kotagarh to the Tiamaha area. Suddenly the driver lost control of the vehicle and rammed into a tree, killing three people on the spot and injuring over 30 people.
Over 30 injured people were rushed to a nearby hospital, where their conditions were yet to be ascertained.
On being informed, police reached the spot, sent the bodies for post-mortem after recovering them from the ill-fated vehicle. Further investigations are underway.
