Marking five decades of continuous public service and twenty-five years of leadership by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has announced a month-long ‘Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan’ beginning September 17 in honour of the Prime Minister’s 76th birthday.
Highlighting PM Modi’s relentless dedication to building a strong, prosperous, and self-reliant India, the Chief Minister detailed a series of grand initiatives lined up for the occasion. The statewide campaign will feature events including the ‘Sewa Jyoti Yatra’, ‘Namo Sewa Gatha’, ‘Swapna Bharat’, ‘Pariwartan Ki Kahani’, ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’, alongside extensive tree plantation drives and blood donation camps.
‘Ashirwad Ka Diya’ Campaign Across Odisha
As part of the birthday celebrations on September 17, CM Majhi has made a passionate appeal to every family across Odisha to light an ‘Ashirwad Ka Diya’ (lamp of blessings) in their homes, local temples, or prominent public spots.

He further encouraged citizens—especially those who have directly benefited from various central and state welfare schemes—to share their heartfelt messages of gratitude alongside photos and videos of their lit diyas on social media platforms. The administration believes that this collective display of public support and appreciation will further strengthen the Prime Minister’s resolve and accelerate the nation’s ongoing developmental journey toward a Viksit Bharat.
