Bhubaneswar police arrested two youths for allegedly attacking an Assistant Section Officer (ASO) and a journalist near Rabindra Mandap late at night.
The accused have been identified as Ajay Jena and Sipun Padhy, both residents of Shastrinagar.
According to reports, the clash erupted over repeated honking of a vehicle, leading to a violent assault on the ASO, the journalist, and a security guard. Police examined CCTV footage and other evidence before apprehending the duo.
The incident has sparked outrage in the capital city, with concerns raised about rising anti-social activities. Authorities confirmed that another woman involved in the attack remains absconding, and raids are underway to trace her.
The arrests were made by Kharavel Nagar police, who assured strict action against all those involved. Investigations continue to determine the full extent of the conspiracy and identify additional suspects.
