Reinforcing its commitment to building a future‑ready workforce, Odisha Hydro Power Corporation Limited (OHPC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Power Training Institute (NPTI), Hydro Power Training Centre, Nangal.

The MoU was signed by Shri Sandeep Patnaik, Director (HR), OHPC, and Shri Shekhar Ishwardas Mahanta, Director, NPTI Hydro Power Training Centre, Nangal, in the presence of senior officials from both organisations.

NPTI, an apex training institution under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, has been instrumental in developing skilled human resources for the Indian power sector. Through this collaboration, OHPC aims to strengthen the technical expertise, managerial capabilities, and professional competencies of its employees in line with evolving industry requirements.

The partnership will facilitate advanced technical training, simulator‑based learning, leadership development, and continuous professional education, enabling OHPC’s workforce to keep pace with emerging technologies and best practices in the hydropower sector. It also opens avenues for knowledge exchange and specialised training programmes to enhance operational capabilities across the organisation.

Officials said the collaboration underscores OHPC’s focus on innovation, professional development, and sustainable organisational growth, contributing to the reliable and efficient generation of clean hydroelectric power in Odisha.
