Police recovered the injured body of a minor girl from her male friend’s house in the Jarada police station area of Ganjam district on Monday, triggering serious allegations of murder.
The deceased, a minor girl, was found with injuries inside the house of her friend. Her family members have lodged a strong complaint accusing the man of killing her.
According to family sources, the girl had eloped with the man a few months ago. After some days, both returned to the village and started living together. The family now claims that the girl was murdered.
Police reached the spot after receiving information and recovered the body. The body has been sent for post-mortem to determine the exact cause of death.
A case has been registered at Jarada police station. Police have started an investigation and are questioning the accused and other family members.
