New Delhi: India reported 12,516 new cases and 501 deaths in the last 24 hours. Active caseload stands at 1,37,416 ( lowest in 267 days), according to the data by the health ministry.
The number of deaths climbed to 4,62,690 with 501 fresh fatalities, according to the data.
The active cases comprise 0.40 per cent of the total infections, the lowest since March 2020, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded at 98.26 per cent, the highest since March 2020, the ministry said.
A decrease of 1,140 cases has been recorded in the active COVID-19 caseload in a span of 24 hours.
The country recorded 13,155 recoveries in the last 24 hours. With this, the total recoveries increased to 3,38,14,080. Currently, India’s Active caseload stands at 1,37,416, lowest in 267 days. So far, 110.79 crore vaccine doses have been administered in the country, with 53,81,88 doses being administered in the last 24 hours.
