In a significant push to amplify regional voices on global digital platforms, *200+ creators, grassroots artists, and influencers from across Odisha* have come together with Pluc.TV to launch *#ମୋଓଡିଶାକାହାଣୀ (#MoOdishaStory)* — a community-led storytelling campaign capturing the state’s culture, people, and evolving identity.

Designed as a participatory digital initiative, the campaign leverages platforms such as Instagram and YouTube to document Odisha’s traditions, landscapes, and contemporary life through authentic, local narratives. At its core is Pluc.TV’s community storytelling training model, which equips participants with digital tools and narrative-building skills, enabling them to tell stories in both Odia and English.

The initiative places strong emphasis on Odisha’s rich craft ecosystem, home to over 65 officially recognised art forms and nearly 1.3 lakh artisans. From Pattachitra paintings of Raghurajpur and Dhokra metal casting in Dhenkanal to Ikat weaving in Nuapatna, Pipili appliqué, and Cuttack’s Tarakasi silver filigree, the campaign brings attention to living traditions that continue to thrive within local economies and family legacies. Performance arts such as Dhanu Jatra, Chhau, and Gotipua also form a key part of the storytelling narrative, reaching wider audiences through digital mediums.

Beyond culture, #MoOdishaStory captures Odisha’s transition towards a sustainable future. With solar capacity surpassing 706 MW and a target of 10 GW renewable energy by 2030, the campaign documents real-life stories of communities adapting to change — from solar-powered irrigation in Kalahandi to electrified schools in Koraput and cold storage solutions supporting fisherwomen in Kendrapara.

The campaign also reflects the state’s economic momentum, with Odisha’s GSDP crossing ₹9.9 lakh crore and large-scale investments expected to generate significant employment. Stories emerging from the initiative highlight first-generation entrepreneurs, women-led weaving enterprises, and young creators building global audiences while staying rooted in local identity.

Bhuwan Bhaskar, Assistant Director, DC Handicrafts, Ministry of Textiles,GoI, said, “Technology is now a bridge, not a barrier. Artists can finally speak directly to the world.” Abhishek Raj, Associate Director at Pluc.TV, noted that the campaign addresses a long-standing gap: “Odisha has always had abundant stories, but limited storytellers. This initiative changes that.”

Omm Priyadarshi, Advisor, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India said that the campaign aims to “unlock authentic voices and spark a cultural revelation,” positioning Odisha as a state that is both rooted in heritage and forward-looking in its development journey.

Pluc.TV, known for its community-first storytelling model, is leading the initiative through its Writers’ Room programme, which focuses on mentorship-driven creator development. #MoOdishaStory marks its first major regional campaign, setting the stage for similar grassroots storytelling movements across India.
