Sambalpur: As many as 40 offenders in different parts of Sambalpur were detained on the charges of drinking liquor in public places and creating nuisance.
As per reports, 23 offenders were detained by Khetrajpur police, 14 by Town Police and three by Sadar Police for drinking in public places, creating nuisance and inconvenience to commuters, especially women.
All the offenders were detained and issued prosecution reports after proper counselling, police said.
