Global K-pop phenomenon BTS is officially returning to the music scene after nearly four years. The group will release their new studio album ARIRANG on March 20, 2026, marking their first full-length project since their 2022 hiatus.

To celebrate the milestone, the seven-member band—RM, Jin, Suga, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook—will reunite for a special live performance event titled “BTS The Comeback Live | Arirang.” The concert will be streamed worldwide on Netflix, making it the platform’s first globally livestreamed event broadcast from South Korea.

When and Where to Watch BTS The Comeback Live

The comeback event will take place at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul, South Korea, a historic and cultural landmark in the heart of the city.

Fans around the world can watch the performance live on Netflix. In India, viewers can tune in on March 21 at 4:30 PM IST.

The official teaser released by Netflix India revisits the emotional moment when BTS announced their hiatus in 2022, followed by messages from fans expressing how deeply the group’s break affected them. The trailer concludes with the members preparing for their reunion performance, highlighting their renewed energy and unity.

About the ‘ARIRANG’ Album

The upcoming album ARIRANG explores BTS’s artistic growth, cultural identity, and personal journeys over the past several years. Inspired by the traditional Korean folk song “Arirang,” the project reflects themes of resilience, unity, and transformation.

The album includes 14 tracks, beginning with Body to Body and ending with Into the Sun. Other songs featured on the album include Hooligan, Aliens, FYA, 2.0, No. 29, SWIM, Merry Go Round, NORMAL, Like Animals, they don’t know ’bout us, One More Night, and Please.

Members were heavily involved in the songwriting and production process. RM contributed to most tracks, while Suga and j-hope helped craft several songs. Jimin, V, and Jung Kook also participated creatively across multiple tracks.

The album also features collaborations with internationally acclaimed producers and musicians, including **Diplo, Kevin Parker of Tame Impala, El Guincho, Mike WiLL Made-It, and Ryan Tedder.

Netflix Documentary: BTS – The Return

Following the live concert, Netflix will premiere a feature documentary titled “BTS: The Return.” Directed by filmmaker Bao Nguyen, the documentary offers an intimate look at the band’s reunion and the creative process behind the ARIRANG album.

The film will be released globally on Netflix on March 27, 2026, providing fans with exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the group’s comeback journey.

BTS World Tour 2026–2027

After the album release, BTS will embark on the Arirang World Tour, expected to be one of the largest tours in K-pop history.

The tour will cover 34 cities and more than 80 performances across Asia, North America, Europe, Latin America, and Australia. The tour will begin in South Korea with three opening shows in Goyang in April 2026.

This marks BTS’s first major tour since their successful Permission to Dance on Stage tour in 2021–2022.

Why BTS Took a Hiatus

The group stepped away from collective activities in 2022 as members began completing South Korea’s mandatory military service. Under South Korean law, all able-bodied men between the ages of 18 and 28 must serve approximately 18 to 21 months in the military.

Jin, the eldest member, was the first to enlist in 2022 and was discharged in June 2024. Suga was the final member to complete service, fulfilling his duty as a social service agent due to a shoulder injury.

With all members now discharged, the group is set to begin a new chapter in their global career.
