Chandigarh: In order to honour their achievement of Manish Narwal and Singhraj Adhana at Paralympics 2020, Haryana government has announced cash rewards and government jobs for the duo.
While Manish clinched the gold medal with a score of 218.2 – a new record at the Paralympics, Singhraj won silver with a score of 216.7.
19-year-old Manish Narwal became the third Indian to win a gold medal at the Tokyo Paralympics 2020 after Avani Lekhara and Sumit Antil.
Following the achievement, the Haryana government has announced a cash reward of Rs 6 crore for gold medallist Manish, and Rs 4 crore for silver winner Singhraj.
The state government had earlier announced a government job and Rs 6 crore case prize for gold medallist Sumit Antil, who clinched India’s second yellow metal at the showpiece event by winning the javelin throw final.
The Haryana government has also announced a Rs 4 crore cash prize and a government job for Silver medallist in the discus throw final – Yogesh Kathuniya.
