The makers of Dhurandhar: The Revenge have officially unveiled the much-awaited teaser of Dhurandhar 2, following the historic box office success of the first installment. Starring Ranveer Singh in the lead, the sequel promises a darker, more intense cinematic experience.
A Glimpse Into Dhurandhar 2
The teaser offers a powerful introduction to the film’s grim and uncompromising world. Ranveer Singh reprises his role with a commanding screen presence, portraying a more ruthless and formidable version of his character. Set against the volatile streets of Lyari, the visuals emphasize chaos, control, and consequence.
With minimal dialogue and striking imagery, the teaser focuses on mood and intensity rather than exposition. Ranveer dominates every frame, signaling a narrative that leans heavily into psychological depth and high-stakes action.
Poster Sets the Tone
Ahead of the teaser release, the film’s poster was shared by Ranveer Singh on social media. Bathed in deep red hues, the poster reinforces the film’s dark theme. The actor is seen standing in the rain with a resolute expression, while the words “THE REVENGE” appear etched into a blood-red backdrop, underscoring the film’s central conflict.
Multilingual Theatrical Release
Unlike Dhurandhar, which released exclusively in Hindi, Dhurandhar 2 will hit theatres in five languages — Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. Directed and written by Aditya Dhar, the film is scheduled for a theatrical release on March 19.
The film is produced by Aditya Dhar, Jyoti Deshpande, and Lokesh Dhar.
Story Continuation
The first film featured an ensemble cast including R. Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, and Arjun Rampal, and revolved around a covert counter-terrorism mission. It followed an Indian intelligence officer infiltrating Karachi’s criminal and political networks to dismantle a terror organization.
Dhurandhar 2 continues this narrative, focusing on Hamza Ali Mazhari, an undercover Indian agent who has firmly embedded himself within Pakistan’s underworld, setting the stage for an explosive continuation.
Box Office Legacy
Dhurandhar delivered a landmark box office performance, crossing ₹1,000 crore in gross collections in India, according to trade tracker Sacnilk. The film became the first Indian movie to achieve this milestone with a single-language release, setting it apart from other blockbusters that benefited from multi-language versions.
With this achievement, Dhurandhar joined an elite list alongside Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, KGF: Chapter 2, and Pushpa 2: The Rule.
