In a move aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring smoother journeys for passengers, the East Coast Railway has announced revisions to the timings of three key trains.
These changes, effective immediately, affect stops at Khurda Road and Bhadrak stations, with no alterations to schedules at other locations.
The adjustments are designed to streamline train movements and improve overall punctuality across the network. According to railway officials, these tweaks will help minimise delays and provide a more reliable service for commuters travelling through Odisha and beyond.
Here are the details of the revised timings:
1. Train No. 18118 Gunupur–Rourkela Rajyarani Express at Khurda Road station:
- The train’s arrival has been shifted from 20:58 hrs to 21:20 hrs, with departure now at 21:40 hrs instead of 21:00 hrs. This 20-minute extension in halt time is expected to allow for better coordination with connecting services.
2. Train No. 12253 SMVT Bengaluru–Bhagalpur Weekly Express at Bhadrak station:
- A new stoppage has been introduced, with the train arriving at 18:16 hrs and departing at 18:18 hrs. This addition caters to growing passenger demand in the region, providing easier access for travelers heading north.
3. Train No. 22856 Tirupati–Santragachi Weekly Express at Bhadrak station:
- The existing schedule of arrival at 18:26 hrs and departure at 18:28 hrs has been advanced to arrival at 18:16 hrs and departure at 18:18 hrs, aligning it more closely with other express services.
Railway authorities have emphasised that these modifications will not impact the overall journey duration or timings at originating, terminating, or intermediate stations outside of Khurda Road and Bhadrak.
Passengers are urged to check the updated schedules via the official Indian Railways website, mobile apps, or station inquiry counters to avoid any inconvenience.
