Bhubaneswar: The Well Marked Low Pressure Area now lies over interior parts of Gangetic West Bengal and neighbourhood with the associated cyclonic circulation extending upto upper tropospheric levels.
The system is likely to move west-northwestwards across Jharkhand, south Bihar and southern parts of Uttar Pradesh during the next 48 hours.
Under its influence, fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy falls is likely over Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Bihar during July 30 and 31 and over East Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh during July 30 to August 2.
Isolated extremely heavy falls will likely occur over Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh on July 30 and over East Madhya Pradesh on July 31.
Strong winds with speed ranging from 40-50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph over Northwest and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and along and off north Andhra Pradesh-Odisha-West Bengal coast in the next 24 hours.
