A violent clash between two transgender groups in Bhadrak injured more than ten individuals on December 30, 2025.
The incident unfolded near Charmpa Dagarasahi when one group was returning home. A rival group attacked them with deadly weapons, leaving several injured. Victims sustained wounds on their heads, backs, and ears. They immediately approached the Town Police Station authorities to demand justice.
Earlier, transgender persons had staged a protest at the police station, alleging threats to their lives. They claimed that despite repeated complaints, authorities failed to take action.
