The President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, presented the Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskar 2025 at a grand ceremony held at Gantantra Mandap, Rashtrapati Bhavan.
To begin, this event marked the second edition of the prestigious awards, which celebrate excellence in science and technology. The President conferred 24 awards across four categories — Vigyan Ratna, Vigyan Shri, Vigyan Yuva, and Vigyan Team.
Next, the awards honoured distinguished scientists, technologists, and innovators for their notable and inspiring contributions in diverse fields of science, technology, and technology-led innovation.
Furthermore, the ceremony highlighted the government’s commitment to recognising and encouraging scientific talent that drives innovation and national progress.
