Chief Justice of India Justice Surya Kant will arrive in Odisha on Sunday, marking his first visit to the state after taking oath as CJI.
Justice Surya Kant will participate in a special discussion session at Saheed Bhavan, Cuttack, organised by the High Court Bar Association. The event will bring together legal luminaries, advocates, and judicial officers to deliberate on key issues of justice delivery and judicial reforms.
This visit holds significance as it comes shortly after his elevation as the Chief Justice of India. Legal circles in Odisha have expressed excitement about his participation, noting that his presence will inspire young lawyers and strengthen the bond between the judiciary and the legal fraternity in the state.
Officials confirmed that preparations are underway to welcome the Chief Justice. The Bar Association has planned a structured program that will highlight Odisha’s contribution to the legal field and provide a platform for meaningful dialogue.
