Congress leader Rahul Gandhi hit back at the BJP on Wednesday over criticism of his limited visits to Bihar. Addressing a poll rally in Muzaffarpur, Gandhi accused the BJP of “remote-controlling” Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, claiming that the real power rests with the saffron party rather than the state’s leader.

“Nitish ji’s face is being used. The remote control is in the hands of the BJP,” Gandhi said.

Social Justice Under Threat, Claims Gandhi
Gandhi alleged that the voices of backward and marginalized communities are being silenced.

He said, “Three or four people control it. BJP controls it. They have the remote controller in their hands and nothing to do with social justice.”

He also recalled his demand in Parliament for a nationwide caste census, criticizing the BJP for ignoring social equality.

Bihar’s Progress Questioned
Criticizing Nitish Kumar’s two-decade rule, Gandhi questioned the state government’s performance on education, health, and employment.

“Biharis have no future in Bihar. We want a Bihar where there is health, education, and employment,” he said.

BJP Fires Back
Earlier, BJP leader Amit Malviya shared a social media poster labeling Gandhi as “Missing” from Bihar.

He criticized Gandhi’s limited visits, claiming that Congress has become marginal in the state’s grand alliance.

Malviya also targeted RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, alleging that the Lalu family prioritized personal gain over Bihar’s development.

Bihar Polls 2025
Bihar will vote on November 6 and 11, with results announced on November 14.

  • NDA: BJP, JD(U), LJP, HAM(Secular), Rashtriya Lok Morcha

  • Mahagathbandhan: RJD (Tejashwi Yadav CM candidate), Congress, CPI-ML, CPI, CPM, VIP (Mukesh Sahani deputy CM candidate)

  • Election Campaign: Managed by Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj, contesting all 243 seats

The stage is set for a high-stakes political battle between the NDA and Mahagathbandhan in Bihar.
