Punjab Ministers Harpal Singh Cheema (Finance & Excise) and Lal Chand Kataruchak (Food, Civil Supplies & Forest) met Odisha Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi at Loka Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar.
During the meeting, they formally extended an invitation to attend the 350th year commemoration of the martyrdom of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.
The event marks a significant milestone in Sikh history, honoring the legacy of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the ninth Sikh Guru, who sacrificed his life to uphold religious freedom and human dignity. The ministers conveyed the importance of the occasion and emphasized the spirit of unity and interfaith respect that Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji stood for.
Chief Minister Majhi welcomed the gesture and acknowledged the historical and spiritual significance of the commemoration. The meeting also reflected growing inter-state cultural engagement and mutual respect between Punjab and Odisha.
