Cuttack: In a breakthrough, the Commissionerate police have arrested two Notorious criminals in the silver city, Cuttack.
The arrestees have been identified as Bisinabar Jena alias Gedu and Sarveswar Mohanty alias Mitu from the locality.
As per reports, on February 9 the accused thrashed one Paritosh Maiti as he refused to give extortion money. Later he was rescued and admitted to the hospital in a critical condition. Following this, the family members had lodged a complaint in the local police station.
Acting on the complaint, police launched a probe after registering a case.
After pertinent efforts, police nabbed the two accused and forwarded them to court. There are several pending against the Mitu and Gedu in the different police stations, sources informed.
