Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Odisha and West Bengal on Friday to review the impact of Cyclone Yaas.
The Prime Minister will first land in Bhubaneswar where he will hold a review meeting. Then he will proceed for an aerial survey in the affected areas of Balasore, Bhadrak and Purba Medinipur, according to reports.
Cyclone ‘Yaas’ made its landfall on Wednesday morning near Dhamra port in Odisha, at 130-140 kmph, gusting to 155 kmph, according to Doppler radar data.
Cyclone Yaas ravaged the country’s eastern coasts, dumping heavy rain, damaging houses and farmlands, and leaving at least four persons dead – three in Odisha and one in Bengal.
