Bhubaneswar: While Cyclone Yaas made a landfall in Odisha on Wednesday, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is all set to conduct an aerial survey of areas hit by cyclonic storm.
As per available reports, the Odisha CM will begin the survey at around 12.30 pm today.
He is stated to do aerial survey of Balasore, Bhadrak and Kendrapara districts. These districts were severely affected by the cyclone that tore though the areas leaving behind a trail of destruction.
Stepping up relief and restoration work in the affected areas in Odisha, the government is focusing on bringing back normalcy in road communication and electricity supply, a senior official said.
Pattnaik on Wednesday announced seven-day relief for all families of 128 marooned villages of the Cyclone Yaas-affected districts.
