The Subhadra Shakti Mela 2025 at Janata Maidan continues to witness an overwhelming response, with thousands of visitors exploring the wide range of unique SHG products.


The vibrant marketplace, filled with traditional artistry and innovative offerings, has become a hub of cultural and entrepreneurial exchange. Meanwhile, the food court remains a top attraction, drawing crowds with its delicious spread of millet-based delicacies, organic produce, and classic Odia flavors that celebrate the essence of local cuisine.

Day 6 brought a special focus on eco-friendly household essentials, with the spotlight on organic hand wash, dish wash, and liquid detergent by Nibedita SHG from Mohana block, Gajapati. These sustainable products, crafted by Mission Shakti members, highlight Odisha’s commitment to environmentally friendly alternatives while empowering women entrepreneurs in the household goods sector.

The mela was further graced by the visit of Shri Bibhuti Bhusan Pradhan, Hon’ble MLA, Parjanga, Dhenkanal and Smt. Sofia Firdous, Hon’ble MLA, Barabati-Cuttack who interacted with SHG members and applauded their efforts in skill development and entrepreneurship.

The evening cultural program was a blend of heritage and melody, with an engaging Daskathia performance, a traditional folk storytelling art that captivated the audience. The festivities concluded with a melody night, featuring a mesmerizing singing performance that left visitors spellbound.

With each passing day, the Subhadra Shakti Mela 2025 continues to set new benchmarks. By the end of Day 6, the total footfall surpassed 1.5 lakh visitors, while the cumulative sales turnover soared past ₹2 crore, underscoring the overwhelming demand and growing recognition of SHG products among buyers.

As the mela moves into its final days, request is extended to all visitors to continue celebrating Odisha’s rich cultural heritage and support the inspiring women entrepreneurs driving economic change in the state.
