Bhubaneswar: While Covid-19 situation in the city is worsening with each passing day, main roads turned into checkpoints after the imposition of lockdown & shutdown norms.
However, locals resorted to alleys to roam around in Bhubaneswar.
Reportedly, taking advantage of the situation, the shopkeeper used to sell tea and beverages on the pretext of selling dairy products.
Due to strict checking on the main roads and important squares, people were seen turning to “gullys” to commute and cut the risk of being caught by the cops. The grocery shops in several areas in State Capital were selling products while keeping the shutter half-closed. Few shopkeepers were also spotted selling Tobacco cigarettes on the pretext of selling eggs.
Notably, the Odisha government has declared lockdown and weekend shutdown across the state in a bid to break the chain of the virus. However, due to irresponsible behavior of few people has led to this worst situation.
