A tragic incident occurred in Hesabeda, under the jurisdiction of Bamebari Police Station in Keonjhar district, where a worker lost his life due to a soil collapse during pipeline work for a private company.

The incident took place on Friday evening while the worker was engaged in welding activities at a depth of approximately 7 to 8 feet.

According to police reports, the soil gave way, burying the worker under debris. Rescue efforts were promptly initiated, and the worker was extracted and rushed to Tata Steel Hospital in Joda. Despite medical efforts, doctors declared the worker dead on arrival. The identity of the deceased has not yet been established, and the Bamebari Police, led by Inspector-in-Charge (IIC) JK Bhoi, have launched an investigation into the incident.

IIC Bhoi confirmed that an unnatural death case has been registered, and authorities are probing the circumstances surrounding the collapse.
