Bhubaneswar: In Odisha, long queues have formed outside post offices and Seva Kendras as residents rush to correct their Aadhaar details. This surge is largely driven by the need to link Aadhaar with valid phone numbers for enrolment in the Subhadra Yojana scheme.
Serpentine queues in front of post offices for Aadhaar corrections across Odisha irked people who alleged lack of arrangements made by the administration to manage the rush.
In Bhograi, Balasore district, people have been waiting for days, with some even blocking National Highway-57 in protest. Many have expressed frustration over the limited number of corrections processed daily, with only 50 people being served at some centers.
Similar scenes have been reported from Malkangiri and other areas, where server issues have further exacerbated the situation. Despite assurances from Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida that there is no deadline for enrolment in the scheme, the rush continues. She also urged people to report any demands for money during the application process via a dedicated helpline.
