Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi Friday attended a meeting of all the secretaries at Kharavel Bhavan this afternoon and directed to prepare a blueprint to fulfill the election promises and clarify the new government’s approach.
CM Majhi sought the cooperation of the Secretaries in achieving the goals of the government to fulfill the hopes and aspirations of the people.
The Chief Minister said, “Our government is accountable to the people 24 hours a day. As a representative of the people and as a government, we work with the commitment of being with the people.” The CM advised them to start work to properly implement the 21 major election promises.
CM Majhi said that Odisha is going to complete 100 years in another 12 years. In 2047, the country will complete 100 years of independence. “So keeping both visions in mind, we have to prepare a Vision-2036 for Odisha.”
“What could not be done in the last 24 years, has to be done in these 5 years. For its success, we have to work hard in these 5 years to achieve all our goals. By this Odisha can gain a reputation as a leading state in developed India, he said.
He also suggested making the process of hearing public grievances more efficient and effective.
Raising the issue of Odia Asmita, the Chief Minister suggested the secretaries take steps so that the programmes of every department can be conducted in Odia language.
He emphasized on the successful implementation of many popular schemes of the Central Government and all schemes of the State Government. The Chief Minister advised to work dedicatedly and proactively to carry out these schemes smoothly and effectively.
The Chief Minister suggested discussing the budget amount to fulfill the promises and prepare a report on the current status of all those issues.
“Odisha is now emerging as one of the major developing states of the country. We have started work to bring the state to the pinnacle of development. We are committed to providing education, health, anti-corruption environment, social justice, economic progress, tribal welfare and accountable governance,” CM Majhi said.
He expressed hope and confidence that the goal of building a developed Odisha would be achieved with the cooperation of all.
Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, Development Commissioner Anu Garg, Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Nikunja Bihari Dhal, Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries and Secretaries of various departments were present in the meeting.
The secretaries of all the departments informed the Chief Minister about the programmes of their departments. They also gave information about how they are preparing new plans and programmes regarding the government’s approach.
