Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor Raghubar Das, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and former chief Minister Naveen Patnaik hailed India’s historic win over South Africa in a nail-biting final of the ICC T20 World Cup at the Kensington Oval in Barbados on Saturday.
Governor Raghubar Das took to his X handle to wish the winning players and the team.
“Today, the Indian men’s cricket team defeated South Africa to win the T20 World Cup for the second time. Congratulations to all the players and partners who won the World Cup. Today’s victory has once again filled the hearts of 140 crore Indians. I wish Indian cricket to achieve many such successes and make the country proud,” Majhi tweeted.
Former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik also extended best wishes to the team India on a X post.
“Congratulate Team India on lifting #T20WorldCup2024 after defeating South Africa in a nail-biting final match. The Indian team has made the entire nation proud with their outstanding all-round performance. Well done, champions!”, Patnaik posted on X.
