Russia’s bomber SU-34 fighter jet crashed in North Ossetia on Tuesday during routine training due to a technical breakdown, killing the crew aboard, said reports on Tuesday.
A Russian news agency said, “In the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, in a mountainous area, a Su-34 aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces crashed during a scheduled training flight.”
It is still unknown about the number of causalities of the accident. However, no other deaths apart from the crew members were reported.
The Sukhoi Su-34 is a Soviet-origin Russian all-weather supersonic medium-range fighter-bomber/striker aircraft.
